As of March 1, almost all Corona rules will be abolished throughout Germany and thus also in Hesse. Only visitors to medical and nursing facilities, such as hospitals, nursing homes and doctors' offices, are still required to wear masks. This rule will remain in effect until April 7.
Employees and residents of these facilities, on the other hand, no longer have to wear masks from March 1. The requirement to wear a mask on local public transport in Hesse has been lifted since February 2.
Acting on your own responsibility
Furthermore, each person is encouraged to act on their own responsibility, to be cautious and not to expose themselves to any unreasonable risk of infection. In indoor areas, in public transport and in crowded situations, a mask can still be useful to protect yourself and others.
Corona-positive individuals are still required to wear a medical or FFP2 mask outside their home for five days from the date of the test result. The existing exemptions remain unchanged.
